Our Approach
At SunServe, we believe every young person deserves to be supported, affirmed, and heard. Our Youth and Family Center helps LGBTQ+ youth ages 8–22 navigate challenges at home, at school, and in the world, with care tailored to each individual’s journey. We also support parents and caregivers in strengthening family bonds and understanding their child’s identity with compassion.
What We Offer
We provide free, affirming services designed to meet young people and families where they are, including:

Family Counseling to help build understanding and connection
Group Counseling & Support Groups
Group Counseling & Support Groups for teens and families
Life Coaching
Life Coaching to build self-esteem, coping skills, and personal goals
Sunshine Pridehouse
Emergency landing home for LGBTQ+ youth ages 18–24 offering short- and long-term housing support in a safe, affirming environment that helps young people stabilize, rebuild, and plan for a brighter future.
Community-Building Events
Community-Building Events for social connection, creativity, and joy
Different Drummer Program
Different Drummer Program for parents, caregivers, and families to talk openly about navigating their child’s identity
Am I Eligible?
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, identity, school challenges, or family concerns, we’re here to help you feel supported and seen. Our services are available to:
- LGBTQ+ youth ages 8–22
- Parents, families, and caregivers of LGBTQ+ youth
- Broward County residents only at this time
- Homeless LGBTQ+ youth 18 or older for emergency landing services
Please note: Broward County residency and age verification are required to access services.

You’ll complete a quick intake to confirm your age and Broward residency before we match you with a provider or coach.
Events & Groups
We host regular events and workshops to help LGBTQ+ youth connect with peers, express themselves, and build community.
