The SunServe Guardian Circle is comprised of those generous donors who contribute $500 or more to SunServe on an annual basis. The support of our Guardians is the backbone of our organization, enabling us to continue to offer our vital programs and services to meet the unmet needs of the LGBTQ community. The SunServe Guardian Circle are our partners in making it possible to say, “WE HELP PEOPLE”.
Recognizing that the entire LGBTQ community has the right to quality care, our mission is to provide critical life assistance and professional mental health services with an emphasis on economically disadvantaged, marginalized youth, adults and seniors in the greater South Florida metropolitan area.
Youth Leadership Council Application
The Youth Leadership Council is a small group of young passionate individuals who represent SunServe’s larger group of Youth members! They are the body that gives input as to what events and/or programs our youth group creates or participates in. SunServe's Youth Leadership Council will be composed of 10-15 dynamic youth leaders involved with SunServe to directly impact the envisioning developing of upcoming events, activities and services. As leaders in their communities, council members will develop and implement strategies to advocate for the LGBTQA Youth Community!What can you expect as a member of SunServe’s Youth Leadership Council?• To gain information and skills that you will be able to capitalize on throughout your school and work careers.• To share your experience and perspective.• Hard work, excitement, and fun…all while making a difference!What you will be helping develop and share your input on-• LGBTQA Youth Prom – the only LGBTQA-Inclusive Youth Prom in Broward County!• Youth Summer Days OUT• Annual Halloween Dance• Educational and Panel Presentations• Advocacy Opportunities• Youth Expo’s & moreBeing a member of the Council requires a large commitment (we meet two times per month) but it also teaches important leadership skills (great thing to put on résumés or college applications). More importantly, it gives members a chance to be creative and really think through what it means to reach their friends through what they create! Youth in the Council will be receiving Service Learning Hours as well as food and drinks provided at each Youth Leadership Council meeting.Youth aged 13-22 who are eager to develop leadership skills are strongly encouraged to apply!
