Intimate Partner Violence Domestic Violence Program

Project Resilience

Intimate Partner Violence & Domestic Violence Program

Project Resilience is designed to promote safety, strength, and support to LGBTQ+ community members who are experiencing current or past intimate partner violence or domestic violence. Keep in mind that intimate partner violence or domestic violence, despite the name, does not always mean physical violence. However, it is always a question of power and control.
LGBTQ+ people experience Intimate Partner Violence or Domestic Violence (IPV/DV) at rates equal to or higher than the general population. However, issues of stigma combined with other intersectional identities create barriers to treatment and support. Each participant may attend twelve (12) or more individual sessions or support groups with continuation based on
the participant’s needs.
